Mee Udang Mak Jah di Kuala Sepetang

The restuarant by the roadside.
The prawns from some of our noodles and fried rice.
The signature MEE UDANG or local PRAWN NOODLES.
A dish die hard prawns lover should not miss. The price is reasonable and you will love it. Just take the road to Port Weld or Kuala Sepetang. This restaurant is the 3rd Mee Udang restaurant you will see.

A SNEAK PEEK AT WHAT U CAN GET IN TAIPING.

Taiping can boast of a few very 'cool spots'. One being the AUSTIN pool which is situated at Taman Suria. While accessibility to Austin pool has improved over time, the other natural water fall favourite with the local is known as the 'Burmese pool'. I have to warn everyone though... that we love the place and we hate litterbugs.
The signature dish at Yut Sun Coffee shop. The place that you must have your breakfast, lunch and tea.
This is another favourite at Yut Sun. People in Taiping actually have the Hailam Chicken Chop for breakfast. Yut Sun Coffee shop is located at one of the cross junctions in Taiping. I may include the actual address soon, when I get it off google map ok. Please bear with me.

( YUT SUN COFFEE SHOP IS LOCATED AT NO 80, JALAN PASAR , 34000 TAIPING)

An early morning scene at the still existing dhoby line in Taiping. This dhoby is situated at the fringe of Taiping Lake garden. I love the smell of the newly washed clothes, although I don't think I will ever send my linens there =)).

This is the old clock tower, in front of the main Market. It had been there since I can remember. They have a few times changed the clock from analog to a digital one, though it was not working as of last Eid ( 2009). Typical of Malaysian maintenance culture.

I will post more the next time.
